This course is designed for the basic needs of the manufacturing student, including instruction and practice in grinding, cutting, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding in various positions.  Topics covered including safe use of welding equipment and machinery, grinders and various tools used in the welding field.  Course is designed to teach the student to weld using 3/32” and 1/8” E7018 electrodes in various positions.  The student will safely set up welding equipment, learn how to adjust it, and how to operate it. Students will learn the skills it takes to weld fillets in the flat, horizontal, and vertical and overhead positions.

Tuition includes all books, supplies, personal protective equipment and AWS Certification exam.
