The Academy for Nonprofit Excellence gives you an opportunity with Nonprofit N.O.W. (Networking on Wednesday) to network with like-minded professionals while checking out new resources and latest trends in the nonprofit realm. Enjoy breakfast and a brief informational presentation from Pierce/McCoy Law Firm by Josh Jewett and Aaron Siegrist "Accommodating Disabilities and Other Special Requests in the Workplace"

Nonprofits, like other industries, have to follow in accordance with the laws. This session will review what all is entailed in the Americans with Disabilities Act, reasonable accommodation and the interactive process, Title VII and gender identity. Small nonprofits need to know is that many of these laws exempt employers with under 15 employees, and does not impose an undue hardship on the operation. OSHA has provided guidance on bathrooms, and the EEOC has also interpreted Title VII as we will also discuss rulings in various legal cases. Join us for a session designed to inform you in an easy-to-understand format, as well as provide you next steps to take back to your management team and board of directors. Ample time will be allowed for Q&A.
