This three (3) evening course gives a review in preparation for the National Health career Association (NHA) Certified Billing and Coding Specialist exam (CBCS).
Topics to be reviewed are:
- Introduction to Body Systems
- General Anatomy
- Cells and chromosomes
- Body Systems and Disease Processes – Immune System and Pathogens – Neoplasms
- Homeostasis and Body Systems
- Introduction to Coding: ICD-10-CM, CPT Manual and National Codes
- Medical Introduction, Office Skills and Billing and Reimbursement: HIPAA, Medical Benefits
Attendance is mandatory.
*Certified Billing and Coding Specialist Exam requires proof of a High School diploma
*Must meet eligibility requirements to sit for the NHA exam
