Creating a Culture of Accountability

As community based nonprofits, we struggle with having enough resources to meet mission. Because our impact on our communities is so critical, it is imperative that we develop strategies that will allow us to maximize the resources at our disposal. Purposeful creation of an environment that supports staff growth and accomplishment, as well as accountability at all levels for defined results increase the likelihood of success in meeting mission. We will explore how to attract and retain the right kind of staff talent, how to articulate what the results are that our organizations seeks to create, how to develop systems and processes to measure how well our goals/results are being met, and how to create a culture of accountability at all levels. 

Participants will learn:
- strategies for choosing and retaining the right employees to meet mission
- how to hire for EQ and “coachability”, how to onboard, how to supervise and mentor, and how to evaluate
- practical approaches to create and maintain a positive culture including a focus on accountability across the organization
- to define work culture and develop practical strategies for impacting that culture and the experience of your employees
- and develop use measures and creation of internal accountability for meeting deliverables
- and practice critical factors in performance evaluations systems
- explore creating structure and processes so that all staff at all levels of the organization take ownership and responsibility for meeting mission
