Welding Career Introduction, offered through Tidewater Community College’s Workforce Solutions, is your opportunity to experience stick welding (SMAW) through an accelerated, hands-on course aligned with American Welding Society (AWS) standards.
- Complete the entire 60-hour course in 5 (five) weeks

- 95% of class time spent actually welding

Welding training at a reduced cost because it is Workforce Credential Grant eligible!
The total course cost is $897. However, for eligible Virgina residents, the Workforce Credential Grant program covers 2/3 of this cost with the student's 1) successful completion of the course and 2) proof of an earned industry recognized credential.
