« back to classes page
Are you a leader in the local community and worry about which crisis might strike your organization? Threat, surprise, short response time, and uncertainty could affect decision making and communication activities after a crisis. To manage a crisis situation effectively, organizations should communicate early and often following a crisis. Whether you're on the board of a nonprofit, launching your new business, or a new college graduate, crisis communication is critical to your success. In just one day, you’ll learn the framework to identify, develop, communicate and exercise a crisis communications plan to address how communication will be handled before, during and after an event.
Learning Objectives:
  • Analyze and understand your organization’s strengths and weaknesses in crisis communication
  • Learn how to provide accurate, timely information to all targeted internal and external audiences
  • Identify audiences, key messages, stakeholders, methods, media, and roles
  • Determine how to maintain a positive image of the organization as a good corporate or community citizen
