StartUP Nonprofit Cert: Fundamentals Forum

The StartUP Nonprofit Certification course is designed to give you the fundamental skills to successfully build and champion the work of your organization. This program will equip you with the building blocks to get your budding organization off the ground.
After completing this course participants will:
  • Be familiar with best practices for nonprofit organizations related to governance and the legal/ethical requirements for nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations.
  • Understand the basics of fund accounting, grant management, and be capable of crafting a simple organizational budget.
  • Be empowered to implement low-cost means of expanding their reach through marketing and volunteerism.
  • Have drafted a strategic plan which can be implemented within their organization.
Completion of the curriculum will result in the awarding of your nonprofit StartUP certification from TCC’s Academy for Nonprofit Excellence. It demonstrates to area funding agencies, volunteers, philanthropists that you have the basic skills needed to lead your organization to success. Completion of this program also entitles the certificate holder to 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) towards your Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
