Telling Your Nonprofit's Story

Because great stories attract, inspire, and move people to action, storytelling is a key element of any marketing and communications plan. It's essential for nonprofits to identify, articulate, and most importantly, market the impact they make with their programs. Does your nonprofit story put a face on your nonprofit's work and make an impact? Do your stories resonate with donors? Powerful storytelling makes an emotional connection, keeping your current supporters engaged and prospective supporters wanting to learn more.

In this class, we'll explore best practices in storytelling and examine how your nonprofit story helps staff, volunteers and clients have a consistent voice. You'll learn how to find the good stories, conduct interviews, and improve your communications. We'll discuss how to create a bank of short stories that you can use in your website, annual report, media pitches, case statements, newsletters and social media. You’ll leave with the storytelling tools you need for success!  READ MORE...
