Machining Skills Level 2

This is the second of a three part course that teaches students the basics of metals, machining, tolerances, measurements, and blueprint reading.   The course will be taught in class and with a lab on site.  In this course of instruction students will continue learning; industrial safety; planning, management, and performance of Level II Machining Operations: to include quality control; general maintenance; engineering drawings and sketches; and application of measurements and precision measurement, metalworking theory, properties of materials, as set forth by the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) and  National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA.)

This course may also assist students in preparing for the following NIMS certification examinations:
