| This course is designed for students with 5 or more years’ experience as an instructor and prepares individuals to apply integrated training and communication skills to the design, delivery, management, and evaluation of instructional programs and courses to improve organizational training and effectiveness. The course includes presentation skills, lesson plan preparation, test generation, instructional psychology, and use of instructional technology. This course meets Instructor Training requirements for Defense Contract Instructors as approved by the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Coast Guard Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) 6-97 and Section A-I/6 of the STCW Code as amended.
