CourseGraphic
Discovering the inner social entrepreneur, while making a difference in the world. At the end of the camp, you will know how to become a social entrepreneur by solving a social problem and then presenting findings. This social entrepreneurship advance program is offered to give youth a voice to address social issues through entrepreneurship.  Students will develop a social awareness campaign and present a 3-minute MOCK Ted Talk.  Pre-requisite to sign up for this course is that the student should have attended an Unreasonable Kids' social entrepreneurship camp.  This is an advanced level course focused on developing the student's presentation and communication skills to speak on a global stage. For Ages 9-17.

Instructor Ateba Gaines is a doctorate student at Johns Hopkins University studying Entrepreneurship Leadership. Ateba desires to be a superhero. In her next life, she would like to be Wonder Woman. However, until then, she fights injustice through social enterprise development. Her latest superhero endeavor is Truth (www.truthentrepreneursclub.com) fighting socioeconomic inequality. Previously, her fight was domestic human trafficking, where she started a social enterprise called Shoe Revolt to raise funds by auctioning celebrity shoes. The profits generated supported Teen Revolt to educate, empower, and engage teens about the issue of domestic sex trafficking. Many celebrity supporters have donated personal artifacts, and memorabilia includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Lea Michele, Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Taylor Swift, Jada Smith, along with Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran. Finalist in the Women Deliver Social Enterprise for Teen Revolt sponsored by Clinton Global Initiatives in Malaysia, 2013. Chosen as a Featured Innovator and Featured Change Maker by ABCs 14C Campaign for innovating and branding, 2010. Also, Shoe Revolt was featured on MTV and MTV ACT.
