This session explores the topic of barriers to communication. Besides sharing information, the interactive session involves inviting volunteers from the group to demonstrate communication scenarios and incorporates the remaining session attendees as active observers for feedback. The goal is to enhance the participants' awareness regarding effective communication. Upon completion of all three sessions, there will be a brief wrap up session that will summarize main take-ways and lessons learned for all sessions.
Training Outline (Instructor will adjust as each session progresses):
1-Hour Sessions:
- Introduction of Instructor
- Introduction to Limited Elements of the Communication Process
- Barriers to Communication
- Introduction of Concept
- Brainstorming/Discussion
- Interactive Activities with Feedback and Engagement
- Summary/Closing
Lunchtime Wrap-Up:
- The experience of each session will be unique to those in attendance. This short debrief will offer a summary and sharing of collective discoveries and lessons learned from all three sessions that can be shared with the entire group.
