A Nonprofit Guide to Contract Law

Course Learning Objectives: (1) get an overview of the basics of contract drafting and interpretation; (2) improve your understanding of boilerplate legalese; and (3) work through hypothetical exercises involving contracts common to nonprofits.

Description: Contracts are a necessary part of any nonprofit organization's day-to-day operations. Yet, many nonprofits lack a full understanding of the contracts they sign. This course will demystify the process of contract drafting and leave you better prepared to negotiate terms that protect your organization.
