The Virginia Rider Training Program's Basic Rider Course (BRC) is offered at the Virginia Beach Campus. The 15-hour course includes the basics of motorcycle operation, turning skills, effective braking, and obstacle avoidance, as well as safe riding strategies. The course consists of five hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of actual hands-on training.
Important NOTE: If you are not a U.S. citizen, you must register in person. Bring documentation confirming your current immigration status to the TCC Center for Workforce Solutions to register. If your status in the U.S. is permanent resident alien, please provide documentation of your A#. If your status in the U.S. is temporary, please provide documentation of your Visa. Xerox copies are acceptable. Students will not be enrolled in a class if proper documentation of immigration status is not provided. Those who have problems with social security numbers should also register in person.
