The purpose of this program is to prepare a trainee to perform solvent, hand tool and power tool cleaning, and apply paint using various brushes and rollers to the safety and quality standards required in a marine environment.

*  SSPC refers to the standards specifications used by the Marine Coating industry; SSPC stands for the Society of Protective Coatings, an organization that is focused on the protection and preservation of steel and other industrial and marine structures.
