PROGRAM SUMMARY: The WELDNOW program is a collaboration between TCC, Norfolk Works and Lyon Shipyard. This comprehensive course prepares individuals for employment. Emphasis is placed on the development of workplace readiness skills as well as occupational skills. Program completers will attain a certificate of completion from TCC and other industry specific credentials.

In addition, all persons interested in the WELDNOW program must complete the Job Skills Training Program (JSTP) assessment, which measures academic skill levels in reading and math. To begin the program enrollment process, complete the steps below:

STEP 1 – Complete the TCC/VCCS online student application: Click HERE  or go to https://www.apply.vccs.edu/Home/Sign_In/Logon.aspx

STEP 2 – Complete the TCC/JSTP online student application: Click HERE  or go to https://forms.gle/pfXrAzLzuKKm7bbb9

STEP 3 – Complete the TCC/Workforce online student application and register for the Workforce Enrollment SY2025-2026 class (ID# 17622): Click HERE
