ASAP: Get (or Give) Funding that Works Better for Your Mission

In this interactive, transformative, and pragmatic workshop, Rusty shares the Six Steps that funders and nonprofits can take to Adopt Staff Advancement Practices (ASAP) in your grantmaking or fundraising, in order to build more effective organizations and programs. Building on his keynote address the evening before (but useful even if you can’t attend that), this session will provide you with cutting-edge ideas and practices to address the greatest internal challenges nonprofits face: recruitment, retention, compensation, and burnout. Participants will have opportunities to reflect on their own experiences and needs; share their knowledge and perspective; learn from peers in the room; and tap into tools, research, and resources from Rusty and his organization, Fund the People. Everyone will leave with a robust set of resources, worksheets, and a personal plan of action.

Rusty Stahl will be our keynote at the 2025 Funders' Forum the night before.
