Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) - NON FF/OE (DAY)

This course teaches MIG welding steel, carried out on DC electrode (.045 welding wire) positive polarity.  This course will teach proper welding techniques and disciplines to successfully complete a Fillet, Lap, and Outside Corner set up.  MIG welding will be practiced using three positions, flat (1G), horizontal (2G), and vertical (3G).  Emphasizing welding safety, grinding safety, welding defects (causes and cures) and welding procedures.  Tuition includes all books, supplies, and personal protective equipment (PPE).  After successfully passing this course there will be an opportunity to take the AWS Certification exam.
