Medical Billing and Coding is currently one of the fastest-growing professions in allied health!
 
There is a demand in the healthcare industry for individuals with knowledge of office operations including diagnostic and procedural coding and insurance forms processing. This program prepares students to improve their career opportunities or enter this in-demand field as a medical billing specialist, medical coder, or medical office manager. Students will learn how to code disorders, services, and procedures for all systems of the body.
 
Students who successfully complete this course will receive a Certificate of Completion from Tidewater Community College. Students will also register, prepare for, and take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) Certification examination!
 
Cost: $3,099 (includes exam review materials, and CBCS Credential Exam)
                           
 
Prerequisites:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • PC Requirements: Internet connection, email capability,
